50 Mile Route Summary
This is a tough route, with almost 4,000 ft of climbing and should only be undertaken by experienced cyclists. The route is designed to test a rider’s hill climbing abilities and takes the highest road over the Preseli Mountains, from the harder northern side! The route is the same as the first part of the 27 mile ride but heads through Maenclochog and on to Mynachlog-ddu, finally reaching Crymych, before turning around for the return leg over the Preselis. This road can be busy at times, but generally has good visibility. The route returns to Maenclochog and follows the remainder of the 27 mile route back along quiet country lanes, taking in scenic countryside including Canaston Woods before finishing at the famous Cresselly Arms, overlooking Cresswell Quay.
